With reference to Mr. Ormsby-Gore's secret

despatch of 12th June, 1937, regarding the contribution

to be made from Air votes towards the cost of extending

the Kai Tak Aerodrome, I have the honour to forward for

your information the accompanying copies of

correspondence with the Royal Air Force authorities,

and to inform you that the final instalment of the

sum of $129,000 was paid to this Government on 12th

June, 1939.
